I hadn't planned this....

Dear Reader,

This morning I had a call with a South Asian Doctor, a soon to-be new client, who is standing at that familiar crossroads: leadership or fulfillment?

And so much of what came up echoed a recent Juggernaut post about South Asians letting go of overachievement.

When you redefine success as an evolution of what our culture taught us, leadership stops being about over-producing and starts being about expressing your natural brilliance.

It’s the moment success and fulfillment stop competing with one another and finally begin to align.

This year, I’ve worked with many immigrants including South Asian leaders but also white male executives, clinicians, and seasoned leaders. It’s reminded me of something I’ve always known:

I don’t coach a demographic. I coach a psychographic.

People who are brilliant and mission-driven… …quietly wrestling with the gap between the confidence they feel in parts of their life and the doubt that surfaces in high-stakes leadership or as the culture of work rapidly changes.

And here’s what I shared with my client this morning: It isn’t always imposter syndrome. Often, it’s a subconscious awareness that you do want to lead just not in the old model of leadership built on overachievement, performance, and proving.

That doubt isn’t inadequacy. It’s discernment.

It’s your system telling you that the kind of leader you’re becoming is different from the one you were taught to be.

Then, as if on cue, I received this testimonial from another South Asian client:

“Before working with Sweta, I wanted to address imposter syndrome and strengthen my voice in leadership. I felt naturally confident in my personal life, but struggled to access that same confidence at work. With Sweta, the inner work felt deeply validating and the shift from insight to action was immediate and grounded. I identified my superpower, clarified my values, and built real discernment. Through the past few months, I’ve grown in ways I didn’t expect.”

During the first month of coaching, a promotion she’d been promised and stalled on for a long time finally came through. But what mattered most wasn’t the title, it was that she could finally be herself in these high-stakes situations. The promotion was just the bonus.

This is what happens when leaders stop trying to perform leadership and begin embodying it.

If you’re navigating that tension between outer success and inner alignment, you’re not alone and there’s a more grounded way forward.

This is the heart of my Leadership Beyond the Ladder model, which is built on three pillars:

  1. Authentic Identity (the foundation) Leading from who you actually are—not who you were told to be.
  2. Empowered Expression Accessing your real voice and using it with clarity and confidence.
  3. Harmonious Work Creating impact in a way that supports your energy and your life.

A Little End of Year Gift

I wasn’t planning on taking more clients this year. But this mornings call and the testimonial I received, reminded me that this is my favorite time of the year.

Not because of the holidays, my “holiday season” is Diwali and Halloween. But because this is the time when people finally slow down enough to reflect. And that’s the work I help people do really, really well.

That's why, before I head off to celebrate the holidays my way, somewhere warm enough for tank tops, I’ve decided to open a few connection call spots for coaching starting in January.

My current prices have already increased, but for anyone on this email list who books a connection call before December 19, I’ll honor my former rates.

And if you’re in a season of reflection but not necessarily looking for coaching, you can still move into the new year with clarity:

✨ My Year-End Reflection Guide is available for just $37. ✨

It’s a powerful way to pause, look back with honesty, and step forward with intention.

Here's to some powerful reflecting time,

P.S. If you're not ready for 1:1 work but this email resonated, hit reply and let me know. I love hearing what lands for you.

Dear Reader, We just came out of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, a whole weekend built on urgency, pressure, and “act now before it’s gone.” And I intentionally didn’t email you. Because part of taking your power back…is remembering you don’t have to rush. You don’t have to chase. You don’t have to act from pressure. So I waited for today, the first calm breath after the noise. And now that the dust has settled, I want to share a moment from a client who I am currently working...

Dear Reader, Last week, I talked about why visibility feels dangerous, how your body learned that staying small was the safest choice. You can read that email here. With Thanksgiving and the holiday season here, a lot of us are about to be around the very people who taught us how to shrink in the first place. Today, I want to share what happened after speaking at Wonder Women in Tech. I arrived at home and my brother was in town visiting. Here’s the real thing no one likes to admit: The...

Dear Reader, In my last email, I talked about being afraid of your own brilliance, how so many of us are exhausted from waiting to be recognized instead of leading with our value. I ended with an invitation: What if you did it anyway? But spoke about why it's so hard to take that first step. Here’s the truth most people tiptoe around: You’re not hiding because you lack clarity or because something is wrong with you. You’re hiding because your body still thinks visibility is a threat....
